Description
DATE: 1, 2 and 3 December, 2023.
Workshop on stylized digital portraits, where Meybis will review his entire process (in the form of a demonstration), from choosing a subject and what to look for, going through sketches, colors, values, to the final version. In each of these steps, Meybis plans to insert some fundamental aspects (like when we sketch, we’ll go over some design principles, or when we work on rendering, we’ll talk about lighting/value theory, etc.). There will be a demonstration on the first two days, and each day’s homework will be related to that day’s class: at the end of the first day, the homework will be to choose one or two topics and make some sketches, we’ll revise them on the second day, continue with demo in rendering and after that the task will be to paint a selected sketch, on the last day Meybis will do a feedback/painting session with all the students, in which Meybis plans to address more of the fundamentals, on a case by case basis.
*Frequent questions:
What happens if I can’t see the classes live one day?
• No problem. All classes are live but will also be recorded and posted on our platform. So you can see them whenever you want throughout the duration of the course. This means that if you cannot attend your class live at the stipulated time, you will be able to see them on the platform until the end of the course. These video-classes posted on the platform can be viewed unlimitedly during the duration of the course but cannot be copied or downloaded. They can also be viewed for 6 months once the course is over.
When can I see the classes I did not attend live?
• Access to the virtual platform where you can consult all the information or documentation of the course, access all the classes that have already been taught or the proposed exercises.
