DATE: 1, 2 & 3 September, 2023.
In this workshop we will be explaining how to create our own fantasy creatures, how to design colors for them and how to render illustration where they are main subject so it looks believable. We will be talking about importance of practicing with drawing sketches and painting them using simple photo references to level up our skills as an artist. Together we will spent few hours working on same study after which feedback rounds will be provided where I will be talking of color theory and how to apply it to benefit your painting. Questions through this 3 days period are welcome and some topic are: portfolio building, client artist relation and some common issues that occurs with freelancing, insecurities as being an artist, process of crating artworks for trading card games. An opportunity for crating your own creature on third day, with previous homework on choosing what real-life animal/plant/environment it is based on and how we make it looking best it could be (going over importance of using references from existing animals in crating our own creatures, what did occur in their environment for them to become like that).
*Frequent questions:
What happens if I can’t see the classes live one day?
• No problem. All classes are live but will also be recorded and posted on our platform. So you can see them whenever you want throughout the duration of the course. This means that if you cannot attend your class live at the stipulated time, you will be able to see them on the platform until the end of the course. These video-classes posted on the platform can be viewed unlimitedly during the duration of the course but cannot be copied or downloaded. They can also be viewed for 20 days once the course is over.
When can I see the classes I did not attend live?
• Access to the virtual platform where you can consult all the information or documentation of the course, access all the classes that have already been taught or the proposed exercises.
