ONLINE ILLUSTRATION WORKSHOP | CHARACTER DESIGN | with Domenic Serena.
«In this workshop we will be going over early concept exploration and process. Characters are derived from real-world reference and we will look into the formula of ‘copying reference first’ to ‘pushing proportions second’ along with training our brains in the ‘zen of unattachment’. Art for production is a collaborative process, and so we must get used to doing a lot of revisions. We, as artists, must care little enough to allow major changes to a design while caring just enough to be pushing the current design into the best work we can provide. This workshop will be a lot of going over said process and the best ways to navigate that balance.»
Recommended Programs: Most digital drawing programs are acceptable (Krita, CSP, Photoshop, Sketch Pro) but physical sketchbooks are also applicable. We will be drawing a lot.

*Frequent questions:
What happens if I can’t see the classes live one day?
• No problem. All classes are live but will also be recorded and posted on our platform. So you can see them whenever you want throughout the duration of the course. This means that if you cannot attend your class live at the stipulated time, you will be able to see them on the platform until the end of the course. These video-classes posted on the platform can be viewed unlimitedly during the duration of the course but cannot be copied or downloaded. They can also be viewed for 6 months once the course is over.
When can I see the classes I did not attend live?
• Access to the virtual platform where you can consult all the information or documentation of the course, access all the classes that have already been taught or the proposed exercises. When, where and at the rate you want.
