ONLINE WORKSHOP with Cyprien Rousson.
Day 1
Introduction to the workshop, the goals and planning, a brief overview of my career and path as an artist, my inspirations and what helped me find my voice in the industry. After that, I will invite students to share the type of work they are aiming for. Then, we can brainstorm an idea for an image that would be a good choice to land such a job, combining originality and technical execution. I will start rendering a sketch I prepared beforehand, commenting on my process, color choices, and composition, while the students can begin sketching their own ideas. They will aim for 2 thumbnails.
Day 2
I will continue working on my illustration, answering questions regarding my workflow, my approach to digital compared to traditional work, etc. Depending on the students’ speed, I will allocate time to review their thumbnails, and decide with them which one is best to select and render.
I will bring my piece to completion, and focus on providing feedback on the students’ personal work as well as the piece they created during the workshop.

*Frequent questions:
What happens if I can’t see the classes live one day?
• No problem. All classes are live but will also be recorded and posted on our platform. So you can see them whenever you want throughout the duration of the course. This means that if you cannot attend your class live at the stipulated time, you will be able to see them on the platform until the end of the course. These video-classes, 1080p, posted on the platform can be viewed unlimitedly during the duration of the course but cannot be copied or downloaded. Class recorded can also be viewed for 6 months once the course is over.
When can I see the classes I did not attend live?
• Access to the virtual platform where you can consult all the information or documentation of the course, access all the classes that have already been taught or the proposed exercises.
