      Reference Photo Demo:
      \nTogether we will take the reference photos for the workshop. I share how I prepare them\/ edit them for use. We will talk about what makes a good reference and how to use composition as a storytelling element<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Starting our paintings and building in looseness from the start<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n

    4. \n

      Day 2:<\/p>\n

        Introduction to the form-first approach<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Creating harmonious skin tones on the fly<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Demonstration – building up layers of the portrait\/ learning when to let things be<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Student practice with instructor guidance<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n

          Manipulating color to move things in space (making our portraits look 3D)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
