Watercolor has been reviled, relegated to the plane of the superfluous, the note fast, the junkyard landscape and the sketch. Fortunately, many authors current have begun to revalue it as a complex art, lively and full of of light. This course aims to bring students closer to watercolor, from both a technical and emotional point of view. Allowing them to enter a fascinating technique, addressing the traditional theme of the figure and the portrait. In this “author course”, Alejandro Casanova through theoretical,
practices and live demonstrations, shows how he approaches the complex theme of the portrait and the nude. From the choice of images and their processing, until the final finishes. Facilitating the participants specific methodologies to enter the amazing world of watercolor.
Starting from a first theoretical and practical basis, the student will carry out a approach to the watercolor technique to later work on given images. The teacher will perform demonstrations on the images provided to the student, so that he can subsequently experience the same process. The student can pre-draw, project, trace, etc. the images before the course to speed up the process. Pictures will be provided 1 to 2 weeks before the workshop.
