This workshop will cover how to prepare an ideal modern surface from aluminum composite panel, drawing for egg tempera, creating ink wash underpaintings, techniques for building color and light through layering, achieving soft transitions, dealing with edges, making corrections, expanding the value range, techniques for finishing, and how to apply a final treatment and perform a traditional silk polish. Students will work from quality reference images they bring to class.”
