Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Friday. 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Saturday. 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Sunday. 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

DURATION: 25 hours

PLACE: La Galería Roja. C / Peral, 10. Mall of Hercules. 41002, Seville.

LANGUAGE during the workshop: Spanish and English.

EXPERIMENTAL DRAWING WORKSHOP with Johan Barrios

This intensive workshop aims to explore the limits of the definition of drawing and its
items. During the construction process, we will address different ways of assuming
the local tone, contrasts, shadows and textures.

1 day.
We will explore with watercolors and powdered graphite to stain the paper and generate atmospheres and
textures as part of the background of our piece.
We will begin to project our drawing and its baselines on our paper. We will talk
the importance of composition and how to choose a good photograph as a reference.

2 day.
It is expected that by this day all the basic drawings are on final paper, and
We will begin to make the basic leftovers to gradually remove our figure.

3 day
We will continue giving layers of drawing and intensifying the shadows and final lights of our
part.

4 day.

We will focus on final details that will make our works as realistic as possible. For
this we will be analyzing the work of each one and taking feedback as part of the
process.

Recommended materials.

Hot pressed or satin grain watercolor paper 140 lb or 300 lb
Brands to suggest: Arches or Fabriano (very important that it is Hot pressed watercolor or satin grain)

Pencils:

Charcoal or carbon in pencil 2b 4b 6b
Staedtler Mars Lumographa Black 6b or 8b 12b pencils

Watercolors: Black, Brown, Orange, Blue, Yellow
powdered graphite
water spray

Faber Castell Pefection Eraser Pencil Eraser
Soft rubber pencil eraser
Electric eraser if they have one
scalpel or exact
A strip of fine sandpaper for sharpening pencils
