The workshop will be about how to create a stylised environment using both 2D and 3D.
Knowing how to find an idea, sketch it, translate it in 3D and then finalize it in 2D, for concept-art or illustration.
You’ll know the whole pipeline to be able to ideate fast and not be stuck by the technicality of 3D.
Day 1: First we’ll create concept for your environment, how to use the right references, and create the sketches for your scenes.
We’ll see the importance of having a clear goal and vision for an image, fundamentals of designs, visual art and stylisation.
Day 2: We’ll move to Blender to create your scene, and learn how to create a good 3D base to paint over later in photoshop.
During this part we’ll go through the basic of modelling, lighting, materials and how to anticipate the paint over phase.
Day 3: Lastly we’ll cover how to take a 3D render and paint over it in order to create the final image (Concept art or illustration).
We’ll uncover how to paint over 3D, what to break and what to keep from it. And lastly how to stylise while painting.
The demonstration will include many painting tips regarding brushes use, colours, style and fundamentals.
With this workshop you should be able to know the whole process from idea to creation of a stylised environment, using both 2D and 3D.
